Late evening on a quiet, leafy street in Dudley, gunfire rips through a young woman’s front door, with one shot striking her in the hip. West Midland police’s major crime team takes charge, tasked to find out who could have committed such a crime, and a manhunt begins when CCTV footage shows a vehicle speeding away. From there, the investigation intensifies and a small but significant mistake by the getaway driver means the vehicle can be tracked.
